Aromatic red berries and blackcurrants with hints of mulberry leaf follow through
to a well-structured palate with raspberry notes and underlying nuances of French oak. Cellaring potential is up to six years.
The fruit was destemmed, crushed and fermented in open vats. The ferment was plunged and pumped over twice daily for colour and tannin extraction. The wine was matured on lightly toasted and double toasted French oak for nine months for further complexity. The wine had minimal fining and filtering prior to bottling.
